JR is seeking a Practice Manager to join our client’s bustling practice with a fantastic opportunity to lead and work with a dedicated, long-standing, and passionate team. The successful candidate will join a highly experienced team, supported by the Head Registered Veterinary Nurse and Head Client Care Assistant. This team includes a highly skilled and experienced nursing team and a dedicated reception that provides five-star service to the area. This is a well-equipped practice with facilities including Endoscopy, Arthroscopy, Digital X-ray, MiLab X7 ultrasound, multi-parameter monitors, In-house bloods, Dental radiology and much more!
The practice is also supported by its own pet blood bank, laboratory, and other services. Within a prominent location, easy access, and a separate parking lot, this team can provide excellent service. There is a dedicated staff room, close links to the station and buses, and a friendly, sociable team who enjoy team nights out.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and required to
- Deliver exceptional client care.
- Work closely with the Lead Vet.
- Manage the planning and execution of practice rotas to ensure optimum service levels, maximising utilisation of clinical skills.
- Set the team up for success through effective recruitment and induction, ongoing communication, and management, delivering colleague engagement and retention.
- Promote the practice externally through local community events and other avenues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and understanding of practice environments, ideally gained in a Veterinary, GP, or Dental practice setting.
- Experience in resource planning.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including experience using Microsoft Office.
- Good numeracy and analytical skills.
- Experience in managing and leading a team.
- Experience in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time role working 40 hours a week Monday – Friday.
