Vacancy for an equine veterinary administrator
GVG Brooks Equine is a progressive 5 vet ambulatory equine practice based in Reigate, Surrey. We have a fantastic client base of horse owners who love getting to know our team. We are dedicated to excellent customer care which helps us achieve our aim of enabling our clients to enjoy their horses. We have a vacancy for a veterinary receptionist/administrator to support our vets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of client enquiries, by phone, email, whatsapp, via Facebook and in person
- Daily management of the practice diary to ensure all patients are booked in efficiently and any gaps can be proactively filled with same day visit requests.
- Processing client requests such as orders, repeat prescriptions and insurance claims
- Dispensing veterinary medicines as prescribed by our vets either over the counter or by post
- Processing payments either over the phone or in person
- Assisting in managing our social media
- Handling post
- General secretarial tasks to support our vets
The person we’re looking for:
- Should have at least 1 years experience in a customer service role. Experience within a Veterinary business would be an advantage.
- Has a high attention to detail
- Is able to problem solve and adapt quickly to change
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment and still maintain a high level of customer service and completing all tasks to a high standard
- Has an excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills
- Has experience using Microsoft Office, especially word, excel and outlook
- Ideally has some basic horse knowledge, but a friendly client-focussed attitude comes first
