Padstow, Cornwall, United Kingdom

Location: Padstow, North Cornwall

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum

Employment type: Full time, permanent

We are working with a private household in North Cornwall to recruit a reliable, discreet and highly organised Personal Assistant for a full-time, live-in position. This is a varied and trusted role supporting a household with strong involvement in animal welfare and charitable work.

A key element of the role is the care of a much-loved cat during periods when the family are away. Applicants must be genuinely comfortable with cats and confident in providing attentive, responsible care. An understanding of animal behaviour or prior veterinary experience is crucial.

The position will also involve liaising with contractors while refurbishment works are ongoing, including coordinating access, overseeing progress and acting as a point of contact. Flexibility is essential, as the role will adapt to the needs of the household, including weekend cover during holidays.

The successful candidate will be provided with rent free sole-use accommodation in a separate property located within the grounds. This accommodation is for individual occupancy only and is not suitable for family members or pets.

The household is actively involved in animal welfare charity work. One day per week will be dedicated to supporting charity-related activity, offering the opportunity to build meaningful connections and contribute to worthwhile causes.

Key responsibilities include:
Providing personal assistant support to a private household
Caring for the household cat during family absences
Liaising with contractors and trades during refurbishment works
Supporting animal welfare charity activity one day per week
General household coordination and ad hoc support

This role would suit a calm, trustworthy and adaptable individual who enjoys variety, values discretion and has previous veterinary experience.
