Locum Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) – Gateshead
We’re looking for an experienced Locum VCA to join our friendly charity practice in Gateshead.
Role Details
Start Date: ASAP – ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 days per week
Hours: 7.5-hour shifts between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with inpatient care and monitoring
Supporting the dispensary and preparing medications
Helping with prep duties for procedures
Reception work, including client communication
General cleaning and maintaining a hygienic workspace
About You
Previous VCA or animal-care experience preferred
Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently
Flexible to cover varying shift times within the stated hours
