An exciting permanent opportunity has opened for an experienced RVN to step into a hands-on Head RVN role within a busy small animal environment in Ayrshire.
You will work closely alongside the nursing team every day, leading by example while continuing to nurse clinically yourself. The group comprises three practices across the region, backed by a close-knit 60-strong team including 15 Vets, 13 RVNs, 3 VCAs, 3 SVNs, Clinical Lead Vets, and Clinical Coach RVNs.
Role & Schedule Details:
- Position: Permanent Head Registered Veterinary Nurse
- Hours: 30–40 hours per week (full-time or part-time options considered)
- Working Rota: 1:4 Saturday rota with no out-of-hours (OOH) commitments
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse with solid experience in a busy small animal practice.
- A confident, hands-on leader who leads by example, is positive, compassionate, and supportive.
- Comfortable multitasking, developing others, and handling constructive conversations when needed.
- Deeply passionate about nursing, animal welfare, and driving positive team culture.
Package & Benefits:
- Salary of up to £36,000 per annum, depending on experience
