An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, driven Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a supportive practice based in Ayrshire.
This progressive practice is built on mutual respect, open communication, and continuous development, where nurses are placed firmly at the heart of clinical operations. You will step into a leadership role backed by a wider collaborative team—including additional Head Nurses and an RVN Business Partner who truly understands and values the nursing role.
🏥 Practice & Team Highlights:
- Team Structure: Part of a 60-strong team across 3 local practices, comprising 14 Vets (including 3 GPD-trained Clinical Lead Vets), 12 RVNs (including 3 Clinical Coach RVNs), and 2 VCAs.
- Nurse-Led Care: The nursing team includes specialists in acupuncture, pain management, behaviour, and Schedule 3 surgical procedures.
- Facilities & Equipment: Equipped with modern technology including multiparameter monitors, fluid pumps, BP monitors, and ultrasound.
📅 Rota & Hours:
- Working Pattern: Flexible options available, including full-time or part-time (30 to 40 hours per week).
- Weekend Rota: 1 in 4 Saturdays.
- Out of Hours: No OOH duties.
👤 Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with clinical experience.
- Passion for nursing care and keenness to progress into leadership.
- Strong team-focused attitude, positivity, and high standards of clinical and client care.
💰 Salary & Package:
- Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
