Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a well-equipped practice with a friendly and dedicated team. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our patients and supporting the veterinary team in various medical and surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Assist veterinarians during surgeries and procedures
- Perform diagnostic tests, including blood tests and radiographs
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs
- Educate and support pet owners on post-operative care, nutrition, and general pet health
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Participate in clinic rota, which includes working four days a week and weekends on a 1 in 6 basis
