Position: Registered Veterinary Nurse
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent care to our patients and supporting our veterinarians in their daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- - Assisting veterinarians in surgical procedures, including monitoring anesthesia, administering medications, and providing post-operative care
- - Conducting diagnostic tests and procedures, such as blood tests, x-rays, and ultrasounds
- - Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- - Providing nursing care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering fluids, and maintaining patient comfort
- - Educating pet owners on proper care and treatment for their pets, including medication administration and post-operative care
- - Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records for all patients
- - Assisting with the admission and discharge of patients
- - Performing basic grooming tasks, such as nail trims and ear cleanings
- - Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the clinic and equipment
- - Participating in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- - Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification
- - Previous experience working as a Registered Veterinary Nurse
- - Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and procedures
- - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- - Ability to work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- - Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners
- - Strong organizational and time-management skills
- - Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings
