Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse

Join a vibrant small animal practice, where the team are thrilled to welcome an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team. Enjoy a fantastic work location equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including an In-house laboratory, separate dog and cat wards, Isolation bay, Digital X-Ray (standard and dental), Ultrasound, ECG, Blood pressure monitoring, Ultrasonic dental equipment, and Class 4 laser.

You'll be an essential part of a close-knit team, working alongside 3 vets, 5 Nurses (4 RVN and 1 student), a practice manager, and reception team. As a practice committed to excellence, the practice is part of the RCVS practice standards scheme, hold an ISFM silver cat-friendly clinic status, and have mental health first aiders on board.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll have the opportunity to fully utilize your nursing skills, managing cases from admission and in-patient care to anaesthesia and discharge. They encourage a hands-on approach, were nurses actively participate in tasks such as placing IV catheters, taking bloods, performing x-rays, scaling and polishing, charting dental procedures, and potentially schedule 3 procedures. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is strongly supported, including training in schedule 3, and welcome and support specific interests such as in-patient care, diagnostic lab work, medical, and surgical nursing.

To be part of this team, you should possess good general nursing experience, excellent customer service skills, and a cheerful, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic demeanour with a genuine interest in animal welfare.

The full-time role entails 40 hours per week, including working 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, while part-time hours will be considered. In return, we offer a competitive salary starting from £24,000, with additional benefits such as:
