Looking for the perfect balance of rural charm and close proximity to London? This beautiful GP first-opinion practice in Buckinghamshire has an exceptional part-time opportunity for an experienced Senior RVN to join a close-knit, long-standing team.
Set in a peaceful, picturesque village location, the practice features:
- 3 consultation rooms and separate dedicated dog and cat wards.
- An expansive garden and decked area perfect for enjoying your breaks in the sun.
- A loyal, heavily insured client base, allowing the clinical team to perform extensive in-house diagnostic workups, including ultrasound.
- Full out-of-hours support provided by a nearby state-of-the-art 24-hour veterinary hospital equipped with CT, ultrasound, scopes, and laparoscopic equipment.
The Work Pattern & Support
You will be fully supported by an established team consisting of 2.5 Vets, skilled nursing and reception colleagues, and an invaluable Regional Manager who have all worked together for years.
- On-Call: Absolutely NO on-call requirements.
- Rotas: Includes a 1:3 branch Saturday and a 1:10 hospital Sunday rotation. You will be rota’d to cover just 1 bank holiday per year at the nearby support hospital.
- Commuting: Situated just a 5-minute drive from the local train station, allowing you to reach London Liverpool Street in under 50 minutes.
- Accommodation: Rental accommodation is available directly above the practice if required.
Your Senior Role & Responsibilities
As a Senior Branch RVN, you will blend clinical excellence with leadership, managing daily branch operations. Key duties include:
- Leading the nursing team to maintain and continually improve high standards of care, comfort, and patient welfare.
- Assisting veterinary surgeons in theatre and during consultations.
- Utilising your Schedule 3 nursing skills.
- Overseeing the reception team to ensure excellent communication and an efficient, friendly experience for clients and their pets.
- Supporting and mentoring the next generation as a Clinical Supervisor for student nurses.
- Managing weekly audits of Controlled Drugs and ensuring all diagnostic, surgical, and medical equipment is well-maintained and serviced.
