We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic nurse who will work with the management team to facilitate the smooth running and the continuing development of Penmellyn Vets. We are a training practice and would expect our Head Nurse to be involved with student training and development.
This is predominantly a clinical role but with a significant management component. No two days are the same at our practice but the duties for this role would include -

- Liaising and working closely with the Clinical Directors and Practice Manager
- Attending monthly Practice Management meetings
- Organising training

- Organising and attending meetings
- Clinical coaching
- Organising equipment servicing and maintenance
- Completing rotas and arranging short notice cover as needed
- Supporting the Practice in maintaining its Practice Standards accreditation
We encourage progression, development and welcome new ideas and ways of working. You will have plenty of support to allow you to thrive in this role, working in clinical areas and having designated time for administrative work associated with managing the nurse team.
We are flexible with the hours worked but this is a full-time position. Our present Head Nurse works 37.5 hours over a four-day week and works one Saturday daytime shift every four weeks.
What's on offer?
- The salary for this role is from £31,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
- £1500 welcome bonus
- Up to £2,000 Relocation Allowance
