We have an exciting opportunity for an RVN to join our friendly Small Animal practice in the beautiful market town Liskeard.
The Role:
This is a genuinely varied nursing role, with involvement across all areas of the practice. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Inpatient care
- Prep and theatre work
- Nurse consults
- Laboratory work
- Insurance claims
- Booking procedures
**Salary: £30,000–£34,000 (full time), dependent on experience**
Hours:
Ideally this is a full-time role (40 hours per week over 5 days), although part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
As we provide our own out-of-hours service, you’ll take part in the on-call and Saturday morning rota. The current OOH rota is 1:7 weeks, with daytime rest periods during the week and on-call duties from home.

The Team & Practice:
You’ll be joining an RCVS-accredited training practice, with the opportunity to become a Clinical Coach if this is something you’d like to work towards.
Our team includes 3 SVNs, 10 RVNs and 11 vets, with an average of 15 years’ experience (ranging from 2 to 31 years). We are well equipped with all the expected facilities, alongside additional kit that allows us to support a broad and interesting caseload.
We were the first practice in Cornwall to perform laparoscopic spays and we carry out in-house orthopaedics including TPLOs, TTAs, CCWOs and fracture repairs. One of our vets holds a surgery certificate, with several others currently working towards further qualifications in surgery, medicine, dermatology and ophthalmology — creating a strong learning environment for the whole team.
