Are you looking to make a real difference in a supportive and close-knit team?
JR is looking for an RVN to join our client’s friendly, independent mixed veterinary practice based in beautiful rural Mid-Devon, serving local communities with pride and a personal touch.
The successful candidate will be operating across two well-equipped sites whilst working alongside the team in providing excellent, compassionate care.
These practices offer modern facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, In-house lab equipment (Idexx and Axiom), multiparameter monitoring, BP, pulse oximetry, and oesophageal thermometer.
You will be joining a close-knit and welcoming team that supports one another and where your voice is heard.
As RVN you will be a vital member of the clinical team, working in a varied and hands-on role that includes:
- Supporting theatre and anaesthesia, with opportunities to lead on procedures within your remit
- Providing excellent inpatient care – pre-op, post-op and ongoing treatment
- Assisting vets in consults and on house visits
- Using and maintaining lab, x-ray, and anaesthetic equipment
- In-house lab work including biochemistry, haematology, urinalysis, cytology, etc.
- Helping with reception, stock control, and the general smooth running of the practice
- Assisting with the training of ANAs, VCAs and student nurses
A full driving licence and access to your own transport are essential due to the rural location and occasional travel between sites.
This is a permanent, full time role working 8am – 6.30pm, Monday to Friday with 1:3 Saturdays 9am – 6pm. However, our client can be flexible and is happy to consider flexible hours for the right candidate, so please do let us know your preferences.
