Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for your next leadership opportunity?
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Head Registered Veterinary Nurse (Head RVN) to lead our nursing team and help deliver outstanding care to pets, strays and feral cats in our community.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine your clinical nursing expertise with leadership and coaching responsibilities. Working closely with our Veterinary Surgeons and wider clinic team, you will play a key role in maintaining high clinical standards, promoting animal welfare, developing nursing talent and ensuring an excellent experience for both animals and their owners.

About the Role
As Head RVN, you will:
- Lead, support and inspire a team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Nurse Assistants and Veterinary Care Assistants.
- Maintain and promote high standards of clinical nursing care and animal welfare.
- Support the delivery of preventative healthcare, treatment and rehabilitation services.
- Oversee nursing rotas, staffing levels and day-to-day clinic operations.
- Develop and coach team members, supporting continuous professional development.
- Drive clinical governance, quality improvement and compliance with RCVS standards.
- Work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Champion our charity's values and commitment to compassionate care.
About You
You will be:
- An RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse.
- An experienced RVN with leadership experience, or ready to step into a leadership position.
- Passionate about animal welfare and the role veterinary charities play in supporting animals and owners.
- A skilled communicator with the ability to motivate and develop others.
- Organised, resilient and able to thrive in a busy clinical environment.
- Committed to continuous learning and professional development.
Previous experience in a charity or not-for-profit setting would be an advantage.
