Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a passion for Emergency and Critical Care (ECC)? We are seeking a dedicated Night RVN to join a high-standard night team at a busy 24-hour hospital in Essex.
This permanent position offers an outstanding work-life balance with a structured 7 nights on, 14 nights off rota, ensuring two full weeks away from work, every three weeks!
The Role:
Working closely with the Night Vet and support team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, autonomous nursing care to critical and emergency cases from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM (averaging 28 hours per week).
- Clinical Autonomy: Use your full nursing skillset, focusing on triaging emergencies, assisting with examinations and procedures, stabilising patients, and monitoring critical care patients.
- Core Duties: Independently placing IV lines, administering medication, managing fluid therapy, running in-house diagnostics, and maintaining detailed clinical notes.
- Caseload: Enjoy a consistently varied and clinically focused caseload, ideal for an RVN looking to build confidence with complex cases or progress in ECC.
- Hospital Management: Play a vital role in maintaining the smooth, safe, and organised running of the hospital throughout the night.
