JR is looking for a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our client’s dedicated team at their 24 Hour practice for a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role within a well-equipped, supportive practice environment where you will be leading a team of nurses and reception staff, with ongoing support from both the Practice Manager and Operations Director.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and required to
- Delivering exceptional patient and client care
- Supporting surgeries and procedures, including all pre- and post-op responsibilities
- Running nurse-led consults and Schedule 3 procedures
- Monitoring and nursing in-patients
- Handling admissions and discharges
- Managing medication dispensing and checks
- Leading daily team briefings and coordinating workflow
This 24 Hour practice is a modern, well-equipped clinic with a large prep area, dedicated imaging suite, separate dog and cat wards and isolation unit.
This is a full time, fixed term contract role working 40 hours a week with 1:6 full weekends.
