We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to play a leading role in shaping the future of our client’s practice.
About The Client:
A newly established vet surgery led by two highly skilled vets – one with a Surgery Certificate (the other has almost finished his) and both about to start an ECC (Emergency and Critical Care) course. Their practice is founded on a passion for veterinary excellence, and they are looking for someone to join our journey in building a top-tier team and delivering exceptional care to our patients.
The Role:
As the Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral part of our business, involved in all aspects of team development and the day-to-day running of the practice. Given the start-up nature of our practice, the role is highly flexible and negotiable to suit the right candidate. We are only looking for an experienced and confident RVN to take the role of Head Nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a cohesive nursing team
- Work closely with experienced vets to provide outstanding patient care
- Manage nursing duties across various shifts
- Ensure the smooth running of the surgery, including stock control and ordering
Role Details:
- Full-Time: 5 days per week
- Shift Times: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm or 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
- On-Call: On a rota basis, with the vet holding the phone
- Base Salary: Up to £35,000 (negotiable), with additional payments for call-outs and paid inpatient checks
- Lunch Break: 1 hour
