Night Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) - Part-Time

I’m working with a leading specialist referral hospital in the Winchester area that’s looking to welcome a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse into their experienced and supportive nursing team.

This is a part-time, permanent night role that would suit an RVN who enjoys high-level nursing, structured night work, and being part of a genuinely collaborative hospital environment.

The Role

• 32 hours per week, permanent
• Thursday and Friday nights
• 1 in 3 Wednesday night shifts
• 1 in 3 Saturday night shifts
• Bank holiday rotation

You’ll be predominantly ward-based, playing a key role in overnight patient care and recovery, working closely with clinicians, anaesthetists, PCAs, and the wider nursing team.

Clinical Exposure

This is a role where you’ll use your nursing skills fully, caring for a wide range of complex referral cases. Duties include:

Advanced patient monitoring and ward nursing

Medication administration and pain management

Catheter, drain and wound care

Supporting physiotherapy and recovery plans

Ensuring patient comfort, nutrition, and mental stimulation overnight

The Hospital

This is a 24/7 specialist referral hospital set in a peaceful countryside location near Winchester, with excellent facilities and a strong clinical reputation. The hospital accepts referrals across a wide range of disciplines including surgery, neurology, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia, dentistry, ophthalmology and pain management.

You’ll be working alongside highly experienced clinicians and specialists, with strong PCA support and a nursing team that genuinely works together.

• Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure
• Strong communication skills and a team-first approach
• Eligible to work in the UK
