JR Veterinary is proud to recruit for one of the UK’s leading Veterinary Specialist Referral Hospitals. Set in a serene countryside location in Hampshire, this state-of-the-art facility provides 24/7 emergency and specialist care.
We are seeking a dedicated Night RVN to join a close-knit, expert nursing team. This is a ward-based role where you will be an integral part of the patient’s recovery journey, managing complex cases alongside a highly supportive team of clinicians and Patient Care Assistants (PCAs).
The Rota
This is a permanent, part-time position working 32 hours per week:
- Night Shifts: Thursday and Friday nights.
- Rotation: 1 in 3 Wednesday nights and 1 in 3 Saturday nights.
- Bank Holidays: Inclusion in the bank holiday rotation.
The Clinical Environment
You will be working in a premier facility that accepts referrals across a vast range of disciplines, including Orthopaedics, Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, and Soft Tissue Surgery.
Your day-to-day (or night-to-night) will involve high-level nursing care, including:
- Specialised diets and complex medication protocols.
- Advanced pain management and physiotherapy.
- Catheter and drain care, wound management, and mental stimulation for long-term patients.
About You
- You are a Registered Veterinary Nurse with proven experience in a clinical setting.
- You possess a proactive "can-do" attitude and thrive in a busy, high-standards environment.
- You have excellent communication skills and a passion for inpatient care.

- Salary: Starting from £29,727.50 per annum (inclusive of enhanced weekend rates), depending on experience.
- Joining Bonus: £1,000 on your start date + £1,000 upon successful completion of probation.
