About the Practice:
Our client, a renowned veterinary practice, invites an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team situated in Fareham. The team comprises 4 veterinary surgeons with diverse experience levels, backed by seven registered veterinary nurses, two student veterinary nurses, two veterinary care assistants, seven receptionists, and a dedicated practice manager. The practice boasts industry-leading standards, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including standard and dental digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, four consulting rooms, individual cat and dog wards, an isolation room, and an onsite operating theatre.
Requirements for the Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of practice experience and demonstrate outstanding customer care, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in computer literacy is essential, along with the ability to thrive under pressure, tackle challenges independently, and exhibit self-motivation and diligence.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities encompass a diverse range of tasks including admissions and discharges, monitoring operations, in-patient care, delivering various clinics (on weight, dental care, puppy and kitten care, and diabetes), consulting, measuring blood pressure, blood sampling, supporting veterinarians, pharmacy duties, and providing clinical coach training to facilitate regular student placements.
Working Hours:
The position entails an average 40-hour week with a 1 in 4 weekend shift rotation. Typical working hours are as follows:
- Monday – Friday: Shifts between 08:00 – 19:30
- Saturdays: 08:00 – 18:00
- Sundays: 10:00 – 16:00 (Note: Closed on Sundays for the foreseeable future)
- From £28000 GBP Salaried
