A rare and unmissable career opportunity is now within reach for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join a thriving team of 1RVN, 2 VCAs, 1 full time receptionist, 1 practice manager and 2 vets.
A healthy work/ life balanced is encouraged at this practice. This full-time role is made up of 40 hours per week and no OOHs. Weekends are shared on a 1 in 3 fair rota system with time back in lieu.
You will be working in a purpose-built clinic with individual wards for cats and dogs as well as an isolation unit. The practice is home to some of the highest quality equipment and facilities including:
- Ultrasound
- Digital X-ray
- In-house laboratory with microscope
- Capnography with pulse oximetry
- Theatre dedicated to sterile procedures
The practice sees a varied caseload due to having a great clientele (including a high percentage of insured pets). and specialists regularly come to the clinic to perform a wide range of procedures such as cardiac scans, abdominal ultrasounds and orthopaedic procedures. Nurses have the chance to support in all departments including theatre and nurse clinics, making this the perfect place to pursue your further education.
CPD is fully funded and encouraged. You will be supported by a Practice Manager who is a clinical coach with a wealth of knowledge and certificates in the nursing of exotic species and animal behaviour.
