Job Description:
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play a key role in the daily operations of our veterinary practice. You will be responsible for providing high standards of patient and client care alongside our dedicated team.
Team Structure:
- 1 Vet
- 1 Practice Manager
- 1 Part-time Head Nurse
- 2 Veterinary Care Assistants (VCAs)
- 1 Receptionist
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the vet in surgery and medical procedures.
- Providing nursing care to inpatients.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the vet.
- Monitoring anaesthesia and assisting during surgical procedures.
- Conducting laboratory tests and radiography.
- Advising clients on preventative healthcare.
- Maintaining accurate patient records.
- Ensuring the practice maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Requirements:
- Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification.
- Current registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Compassionate and dedicated to animal welfare.
- Flexibility to work Saturdays as part of the rota.
