We are looking for someone who can combine strong clinical nursing skills with effective team leadership and contribute towards maintaining excellent standards of veterinary care.
The successful candidate will take a leadership role within the nursing department, ensuring high standards of patient care, efficient clinical operations, and effective coordination between veterinarians, nurses, assistants, and other hospital departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead, supervise, and support the veterinary nursing team
• Coordinate daily nursing duties, inpatient care, and clinical workflow
• Maintain high standards of patient welfare and nursing care
• Assist veterinarians with consultations, procedures, surgeries, emergencies, and critical cases
• Oversee hospitalization, treatment plans, medication administration, and patient monitoring
• Ensure proper infection-control, hygiene, sterilization, and biosecurity protocols
• Manage nursing schedules, task allocation, and shift handovers
• Train, mentor, and evaluate nurses and veterinary assistants
• Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation
• Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs and clinical protocols
• Support emergency triage and effective communication during critical cases
Candidate Requirements:
• Qualification in Veterinary Nursing / Veterinary Technology or a related field
• Previous experience in a veterinary hospital or advanced clinical environment
• Prior supervisory, senior nurse, or head nurse experience is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of inpatient care, anesthesia monitoring, surgical nursing, emergency care, and infection control
• Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment
• Strong commitment to animal welfare and high clinical standards
• English communication skills required
