My client is seeking a newly qualified or experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their supportive and forward-thinking team in Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN looking to take the next step in their career within a friendly, diverse and inclusive environment.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, including participation in the 1 in 4 weekend rota
The role offers a competitive salary between £28,000 and £34,000, depending on experience, with no out-of-hours or overnight inpatient checks. My client is committed to ongoing development, providing fully supported CPD with opportunities to pursue and grow your individual clinical interests.
The practice is purpose-built, fully air-conditioned, and RCVS-accredited, offering modern facilities and advanced diagnostics. They provide separate dog, cat, and exotic wards to ensure patient comfort, alongside access to in-house laparoscopy and an advanced dermatology service. The workspace includes three consulting rooms, a spacious treatment area, digital and dental x-rays, ultrasound, Imagyst cytology and capnography. Additional orthopaedic services are also available via a visiting specialist.
The team consists of a close-knit group of vets, RVNs, student and auxiliary nurses, and an experienced front-of-house team. They pride themselves on creating roles that bring out the best in their people, who in turn deliver outstanding care to clients and pets. The practice is set within a busy retail area with excellent local amenities, close to the coast, and with convenient transport links including trams, buses and rail. In this role you will have the opportunity to fully utilise your nursing skills, including patient admissions, anaesthetic monitoring, recovery and discharge. You will be well supported by ANAs and an SVN for theatre turnaround and patient preparation. My client is looking for someone with solid general nursing experience, excellent communication skills, and a cheerful, proactive approach. Both experienced RVNs seeking a new challenge and newly qualified nurses looking for their first role will be warmly welcomed.
