My client is looking for a passionate and detail-driven Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their well-established and growing team in Lancashire. This is a part-time role offering £24,750 to £26,390 depending on experience (£28,080 to £30,160 FTE), with a strong focus on work–life balance, professional development and genuine team support.

With a long-standing presence in the local community and a loyal client base, my client prides themselves on delivering outstanding patient and customer care. Their team brings over 100 years of combined experience across vets, RVNs, and client care colleagues, each with their own clinical interests ranging from acupuncture to ECC, feline nursing, behavioural qualifications, and canine massage and rehabilitation. The environment is one where knowledge is shared openly and the team genuinely enjoys working together.

You’ll also be joining at an exciting time, as my client is currently expanding and developing a second site — making this a perfect opportunity for someone who wants to grow with the practice.

They are seeking an RVN who is confident, proactive, and ready to get involved in all typical nursing duties, including nurse consults, theatre work, prep and ward care, and in-house lab work. Experience in conducting nurse clinics and monitoring anaesthesia is ideal.

The role offers an excellent work–life balance with a 35-hour week, no out-of-hours, no on-call and a 1-in-4 Saturday rota, with the added benefit of having the Friday off when working a Saturday. A typical week includes Monday off, long days on Tuesday and Wednesday (8:30am–6:30pm), a shorter Thursday (8:30am–4:30pm), and either Friday or Saturday (8:30am–5:30pm). No Sunday work is required.

My client operates from purpose-built, modern premises with excellent facilities and equipment. They are an accredited training practice for both RVNs and vet students, and hold multiple awards and accreditations including Silver Cat Friendly and Silver Rabbit Friendly status, with Dog Friendly status on the way. The team is also working towards further customer care and environmental awards.

Lancashire offers a fantastic quality of life, with the coast, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales all within easy reach — perfect for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, culture or a mix of both.

The role comes with a strong benefits package (pro rata), including 6 weeks’ paid holiday including Bank Holidays, £600 CPD allowance, paid RCVS membership and VDS cover, Health Shield, enhanced family leave, discounted veterinary fees, discounts, CPD and training support, and clear opportunities for progression.

If you’re looking to join a supportive, forward-thinking team then get in touch!
