We are seeking an experienced Head Nurse to join this state of the art hospital in North East London.
We are looking for a dedicated Nurse who has management experience at hospital level, or a Senior Nurse who is looking for the next step up in their career
The role is full time, 5 days per week (or 4 longer days).
You will be working within a large, experienced team, overseeing a team of 30 RVNs.
Duties will include
Scheduling Nursing and VCA team meetings.
Setting and maintaining clinical standards of care, in coalition with the head vet and head VNA.
Overseeing the provision of in-house training (delivered by vets and nurses) to further colleagues’ knowledge and clinical skills.
Working clinical shifts in the various RVN roles in the hospital such as wards, theatre, charge nurse duties etc.
Recruitment and induction of new RVNs, SVNs and VCAs.
Overseeing the nurse rota in conjunction with the hospital administrator.
1:7 manager on call weekends (phone only)
Ensuring staff with additional responsibilities are performing these to the expected standard, and if needed, exploring what support/training is required to achieve this.
Working with the management team to explore how to develop a smoother and more efficient patient journey from reception through the hospital.
Delivering nurse and VCA performance reviews and developing a structure for reporting lines.
On offer is a salary £39k-£43.5k plus 6.6 weeks annual leave and numerous additional benefits.
