Canning Town is Celia Hammond Animal Trust's (CHAT) East London Centre for veterinary care, rescue and rehoming. Caring for rescued, feral and owned cats, you will have the opportunity to promote our animal welfare aims and nurse rescued, abused and unwanted animals back to health and into new loving homes. Working for CHAT, you will be making a difference to the welfare of animals in London.
As well as catering for people on low incomes we also accept referrals from many private vets where the owners may have been faced with the option of euthanasia for their pet.
This is a real hands on role and your initiative will be encouraged and valued. You will find that you will be using all your skills and training in our well equipped centre.
If you have very good veterinary experience and you are passionate about animal welfare, this could be the role for you. Previous experience of shelter medicine is desirable but not essential.
What we offer:
- A competitive salary up to £30,000 p.a. dependant on experience pro rata'd for part time
