Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to take on an influential role in shaping a practice culture from the ground up? We are seeking founding RVNs to join brand-new, modern first-opinion practice's opening in Merseyside and Lancashire starting in November 2026.
This progressive, independent client operates on a subscription-first philosophy designed to offer predictable costs to clients while removing the pressure to upsell from the consult room. By shifting the focus away from transactional care, you will be empowered to make the best clinical decisions and build genuine, long-term relationships with clients and patients.
As a founding RVN, you will be a core clinical professional—running nurse-led clinics, delivering client education, and directly influencing day-to-day operations.
🏥 Key Clinical Responsibilities:
- Full-Scope Nursing: Managing anaesthesia, monitoring, and surgical support across a full range of duties.
- Nurse-Led Clinics: Conducting consultations including weight management, post-operative care, vaccinations, and parasite prevention.
- Client Engagement: Providing clear, warm, and reassuring client education, particularly around subscription membership care.
- Practice Operations: Overseeing stock management, equipment care, and clinical workflow.
- Mentorship: Guiding and supporting student nurses as the team expands.
📅 Rota & Shift Options:
Each successful candidate will work one fixed shift pattern for the duration of their contract:
- Option 1 (Weekday Shift): Monday to Thursday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Option 2 (Weekend Shift): Friday to Sunday (Friday: 9:00am – 6:00pm, Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Sunday: 12:00pm – 4:00pm)
💰 Salary & Package:
- Weekday Shift Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)
- Weekend Shift Salary: £30,000 per annum
- CPD: Full CPD support with dedicated protected study time
- Fees Covered: RCVS and VDS professional membership fees paid

👤 Candidate Requirements:
- Must be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Ideally 2–3 years of post-qualification experience in a first-opinion setting.
- Possess strong clinical confidence, excellent interpersonal skills, and an enthusiasm for building a practice culture from day one.
