You will be working alongside our client’s experienced Dermatology Veterinary Surgeon, where you will be involved in the full spectrum of case workups and ongoing patient care. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a specialist field and grow your clinical skillset.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and required to
- Assist with workup and care of dermatology patients
- Organise and manage the dermatology department
- Maintain and order stock, and ensure equipment is operational
- Oversee inpatient care for dermatology day patients
- Carry out general anaesthesia and dermatology-specific lab tests
- Help train and mentor other members of the nursing team
This is a RCVS-accredited, multidisciplinary hospital with 20 vets and 50 nurses within 9 branch practices in the surrounding area.
This is a permanent, full time role working 41.6 hours a week Monday – Sunday with 1:5 weekends assisting with hospital duties (wards, dispensary, theatre) and 1 bank holiday per year (paid double time plus a day in lieu). This role has No OOH however extra shifts are available for those who may be interested.
