We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated team at our RCVS accredited practice in the beautiful city of Edinburgh.
The Role:
- Full-time, working a variety of shift patterns at our main practice on Portobello High Street
- 1:6 Saturdays
- No OOH or bank holiday cover required
**Salary – up to £32,000 dependent on experience**
Duties will include all aspects of nursing, working in theatre, inpatient care, nurse consults and assisting other colleagues where needed.
Our nursing team are an extremely important part of our clinical team, ensuring that our branches run smoothly whilst delivering the most exceptional care to our patients and clients.
What we’re looking for:
- Excellent clinical nursing skills, confident in delivering high-quality patient care
- A genuine enthusiasm for providing the highest standards of care to both patients and clients
- A conscientious and detail-focused approach to all aspects of clinical work
- Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with the wider clinical team
About Us
Our 3 branches are located in Portobello, Gilmerton and Stockbridge and we have a range of excellent facilities. Our main site at Portobello is well-equipped with a dental suite including x-ray, digital x-ray, ultrasound and an in-house lab. We are also proud to be rabbit welfare accredited (Silver) and feline friendly (status silver).
We have a brilliant, supportive and skilled team who all work closely together to ensure that we provide excellent care for our clients and patients alike. The team is the best part of the practice with several longstanding team members, we have a wealth of experience, and we are always encouraging team development, progression and CPD.
Throughout the practice we have 10 vets, 6 registered veterinary nurses and 5 receptionists.

Based in the beautiful and sought after city of Edinburgh, you'll never be short of things to do. Full of rich history and amazing scenery, and well-known for the famous Fringe Festival in the summer, you'll be surrounded by parks, beaches, castles, and so much more. There's also fantastic transport links via bus, tram, or train, with Edinburgh airport close by.
