Exciting RVN Opportunity
Are you a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse who takes pride in excellent clinical standards and enjoys working as part of a supportive, forward-thinking team? If so, we would love to meet you.
We are looking for an RVN to join our friendly, established nursing team across our four RCVS-accredited branches in beautiful South Wales.
- Full-time – Monday - Friday
- No OOH and no weekends! – a great work-life balance
- Branch locations - Abergavenny | Monmouth | Brecon | Tredegar
** Salary – up to £30,000 dependent on experience**
Abbey Vets is home to 13 Veterinary Surgeons, 12 RVNs, 3 SVNs and 3 Animal Care Assistants across 4 well-equipped sites. Our team includes certificate holders in Medicine and Radiology, allowing us to offer a varied and interesting caseload while maintaining exceptional standards of care. Our main Abergavenny site provides 24-hour nursing care for inpatients, ensuring continuity and gold-standard treatment.
The Role
This position offers genuine nursing and skill growth. You will:
• Assist with routine and advanced surgical procedures
• Support diagnostic imaging
• Run nurse consultations
• Deliver high standards of patient and client care
• Work collaboratively across our four branches
Confidence in routine theatre work, imaging and consultations is desirable. Sole charge experience is advantageous but not essential — full training and support will be provided.
Although our OOH service is outsourced, we retain our own inpatients Monday–Saturday to ensure continuity of care.
