Our client has a great opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse seeking a flexible, part-time role to join their supportive and well-equipped practice. This role is part of a job share working 3 days a week on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and required to have confidence in assisting with routine operations, diagnostic imaging, and nurse consultations as well as caring for inpatients, particularly during the night shifts in a supportive team environment.
You will be working alongside a strong team of 12 RVNs, 3 SVNs, and 13 vets, including certificate holders in surgery and medicine. You will be working across four well-equipped and RCVS-accredited practices in Abergavenny, Monmouth, Brecon, and Tredegar with modern facilities across all sites, including the ability to provide 24-hour nursing care at the Abergavenny site.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a team player with excellent clinical standards, confident in routine nursing tasks, with previous sole charge experience being an advantage (but not essential) and a willingness to grow with the support of the practice.
This is a permanent, part-time role with the following rolling 6-week rota 3 days a week: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays.
1 week: Theatre (8:30am–5:30pm)
1 week: Kennels (8:00am–5:00pm)
1 week: Procedures (10:00am–7:00pm)
1 week: Consulting (9:00am–6:30pm)
1 week: Nights (inpatients only, 6:00pm–8:30am)
1 week: Off
Out-of-Hours: Outsourced, but inpatients are cared for from Monday 9:00am to Saturday 6:00pm.
