Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team in Norwich. As a vital member of our veterinary practice, you will work alongside a team of experienced veterinarians, fellow nurses, students, and administrative staff to deliver high-quality care to our patients and excellent service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in surgical procedures, examinations, and treatments
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and ensuring their comfort and well-being
- Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures as required
- Educate clients on pet care, medications, and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient care
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education opportunities
Requirements:
- Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards animals and their owners
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends on a rotational basis (1 in 4 full weekends)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary practice
