Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for a rewarding night role with an excellent work–life balance?
We are expanding our dedicated night team at Toll Barn Vets, a friendly, family-run independent practice in North Walsham, and are looking for a motivated RVN to join us.
The Role
Our night nurses work 6:30pm – 8:30am on a 7 nights on / 14 nights off rota, providing out-of-hours care exclusively for our own clients. This means your focus will be on delivering exceptional inpatient care, alongside assisting with any medical or surgical emergencies that arise overnight.
Our night team is a valued and integral part of the practice, so we’re looking for someone who is friendly, approachable, and confident working independently, while also contributing to our supportive team culture.

Our purpose-built practice is well equipped and includes:
• Separate cat, dog and exotic pet wards
• A fully equipped diagnostic suite with Digital X-ray, Endoscopy, On-site CT, Ultrasound, ECG and In-house laboratory
• Our team includes multiple vet and nurse certificate holders meaning we undertake a wide range of medical and surgical procedures in house
We care for small animals and exotic species, but previous exotics experience is not essential, as full training and support can be provided.
About You
We are looking for an RVN who:
• Has a compassionate approach to patient and client care• Works well both independently and as part of a team
• Is proactive and confident using initiative during quieter periods
• Enjoys contributing to a positive, supportive workplace
