Generous Salary: £39,000 to £43,500, with room for growth.

About the Role:
As Head Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in the hospital’s leadership team, working closely with the hospital manager, deputy hospital manager, and head vet to ensure outstanding patient care and seamless operational performance.
This position is ideal for an RVN with experience in referral centres or busy hospital environments, particularly those looking to step into or advance in a leadership role.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Leading and inspiring a large nursing team, including RVNs, SVNs, VCAs, and senior nurses.
- Conducting colleague inductions, reviews, and one-to-one meetings.
- Managing rotas, including on-the-day adjustments for sickness cover.
- Overseeing departmental meetings and attending cross-team discussions.
- Maintaining equipment, including lab and dental suite oversight.
- Supporting the stray committee and rehoming efforts.
- Providing hands-on clinical support on the hospital floor.
- With up to three admin days per week, you’ll have ample time for leadership duties while staying connected to patient care.
What You Can Expect:

- Advanced surgical capabilities in orthopaedics, soft tissue, and minimally invasive procedures.
- A collaborative team of approximately 24 vets, 27 RVNs, 14 SVNs, and 7 VCAs.
