Registered Veterinary Nurse in North West London
GVC is assisting a highly modern and independent veterinary practice in North West London that is seeking a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. The practice, owned and run by veterinarians, is redefining the veterinary experience with beautifully designed clinics, in-house purpose-built technology, and a focus on seamless, high-quality care for pets and their owners.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering clinical excellence and supporting the practice in its mission to create a sanctuary where teams, owners, and pets genuinely enjoy spending time.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification with demonstrable experience
- Nurse consulting and GA monitoring experience
- Strong surgical etiquette and knowledge of quarantine procedures
- Veterinary Nursing Degree or equivalent
- Team-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills
- Initiative and the ability to work independently
- Experience with practice management systems
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting screening procedures and sample collection
- Monitoring general anaesthetics and maintaining accurate records
- Recording detailed clinical notes and administering treatments
- Maintaining cleanliness of surgical rooms, equipment, and clinical workspaces
- Assisting veterinarians during procedures and protocols
- Caring for unsettled animals with urgency
- Monitoring stock levels and educating pet owners on routine and specialised care
- Covering shifts at other sites as required
