As an RVN, you will work alongside a friendly and supportive team to provide excellent nursing care for patients. The role involves a variety of duties, including consultations, surgical assistance, and inpatient care. You will also participate in out-of-hours work on a rotational basis. We offer a supportive environment where CPD is encouraged and you will have the opportunity to act as a clinical coach if desired.
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients.
- Assist in surgeries and other clinical procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with clients.
- Participate in the out-of-hours rota, including night and weekend on-call duties.
- Act as a clinical coach to trainee nurses (if desired).
- Support other branches with holiday and sickness cover as needed.
Working Hours:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- One in six Saturday mornings (9am to 1pm).
- Out-of-hours: One regular night on-call per week (6pm to 10pm) and one weekend in six (Friday 6pm to 10pm, Saturday 7am to 10pm, Sunday 7am to 10pm).
Remuneration:
- On-call retainer of £600 per annum.
- Call-out fee of £25 for out-of-hours work.
- £18.45 per hour (pro rata for part of an hour) for work carried out between the end of your shift and 10pm.
- Mileage paid at 45 pence per mile for travel to and from the surgery for out-of-hours work.
- Clinical coach payment of £750 per annum.

Requirements:
- Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with RCVS.
- Willingness to participate in the out-of-hours rota.
- Strong communication skills and a caring, compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
