Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Independent Small Animal Practice
Location: Oxford Vet Clinic
Hours: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We’re excited to be launching a new chapter at the Oxford Vet Clinic (formally Oxford Cat Clinic - Marston) and are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join us as part of this new venture. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape a growing INDEPENDENT small animal practice, working with dogs, cats, and other companion animals from the very beginning.
If you’re an RVN who enjoys variety, collaboration, and being part of something new and ambitious, this role offers the chance to make a real impact.
The Role
As part of our nursing team, you’ll be involved in all aspects of small animal nursing, including:
- In-patient care and patient monitoring
- Nurse consultations and client education
- Assisting with anaesthesia and surgical procedures
- Laboratory work and diagnostics
- Pharmacy, stock control, and helping develop practice processes
- Supporting vets and contributing ideas as the practice grows
About You
We’re looking for an RVN who:
- Is RCVS registered
- Is enthusiastic, adaptable, and keen to be involved in a developing practice
- Enjoys delivering high standards of patient and client care
- Works well within a close-knit team and values open communication
- Is organised, proactive, and positive
- This role would suit both newly qualified RVNs and experienced nurses who enjoy helping shape how a practice runs
