Here at Tay Valley Vets, we are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our experienced and friendly nursing team in our well equipped small animal RCVS accredited practice. We are a supportive practice with a great work ethos and look forward to welcoming a new colleague. We're based in the heart of beautiful Perthshire, which has been voted the 5th best place to live in the UK.
Our team consists of 12 nurses, each with their own interests both inside and outside of work. We believe in utilising our nurses skill sets to the fullest and several of our team have gone on to complete additional qualifications and certificates.
The role would be a part of a weekly rota that covers wards, theatre, consulting, weekend days and night shifts with generous compensated time off.
This is a rotational role covering inpatient care, theatre duties, preparations for surgical procedures, pharmacy and consultations on a weekly basis. The practice also boasts an in-ground hydrotherapy pool run by our nurses and is complimented by our physiotherapy, acupuncture and pain clinics. Hydrotherapy training could be given to the successful candidate if this is of interest. At Tay Valley Vets, we understand the importance of job satisfaction and so encourage our nurses to pursue their interests where CPD and certificates are encouraged and funded. Schedule 3 procedures are encouraged, and we maintain high clinical standards guided by evidence-based medicine. Therefore, we are always looking for new ideas to promote our standards of patient care and team wellbeing.
You don’t need to have years of experience, just a passion for patient care and a willingness to learn as plentiful support will be provided!
