The role
The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the leading the nursing team. It would suit a confident RVN who is ready to take the next step into a Head Nurse position or who has previous Head Nurse experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years qualified experience. Clinical coaching experience or at least enthusiasm to become a Clinical Coach is essential. We are looking for someone who is keen to support and develop our Student Nurses, junior RVNs and Care Assistants and is not afraid to get stuck in with the duties and to lead by example.
You will be fully supported within your move and we will offer full management training with our dedicated in-house internal training team. You'll have a friendly and positive attitude and want to progress and expand your knowledge and skills further. Strong mentorship and support will be available to help you develop your career and get the most satisfaction from your job.
The clinic has a good surgical and medical caseload, which will enable you to develop your nursing skills fully. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas. You will be supported by a large team of nursing staff including RVNs, SVNs and Patient Care Assistants.
This is a full time permanent position, covering 40 hours per week. You will also be part of a weekend rota, covering 1:8 full weekends.

You must be a Veterinary Nurse who is registered with the RCVS.
Previous experience working in a small animal practice is required.
We are also looking for someone with leadership qualities, approachability and a passion for getting the best out of people.

Medivet 24 hour Enfield is our busy Hospital in the Enfield region, which supports our surrounding branches in the area for more specialist treatments and over night care.
Our Hospital offers an extensive range of specialist facilities and services, such as a range of complex diagnostic equipment and treatment options including endoscopy, ultrasound, radio active iodine unit, laparoscopic surgery, as well as access to MRI and CT imaging at our nearby Hendon Hospital.
We are fortunate to have a lovely client base who are very willing to go the extra mile when it comes to their pets. Our team are therefore kept busy with an exciting range of surgeries and consults.
The practice is situated near to a bustling North London high street, with good access to nearby travel links including the M25 and A10 a short drive away from the practice and Enfield Lock Station and Turkey Street Station both less than a 15 minute walk away, making this area a commuter’s paradise!
The practice demonstrates a friendly team within a well integrated region. Strong VVS specialist links with multiple scans per week. We work to a gold standard with clients keen to admit. We also have multiple RVN's and both night teams have RVNs. Strong medical team, close knit and keen to progress the practice forward.
