The role
Joining our professional, personable team in our Oakengates practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always. This role is a maternity cover starting August 2023, for a period of 12 months. There maybe an opportunity for this role to become longer term and will be reviewed 3 month prior to end date. In this diverse and dynamic role, you’ll be an RCVS Registered Nurse with small animal practice experience, you put high standards of patient care first and can demonstrate how you’ve worked with empathy and demonstrated initiative when needed. You also understand not only your role but also the capabilities of PCA’s and student nurses, and are eager to help colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge. Most importantly, you’ll share our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive showing your passion and professionalism for working as one team to deliver exceptional care. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering outstanding service and care for our clients and patients; you will be fully supported within this new role, working with a fantastic team consisting of Duncan the branch partner, Sam the head nurse You will be assisting in the care of animals and their owners. Undertaking tasks set by senior members of staff in the basic care and running of the practice. Communicating well with clients, meeting and greeting clients and their pets and completing registrations. Monitoring in-patients, providing care and appropriate diets. Assisting vets during examinations and surgeries ensuring the correct procedures are followed for the cleaning and sterilising of instruments, equipment and materials. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On call and bank holidays on a minimal rotational basis.
