A new veterinary clinic in West London is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Nurse to join their innovative team. GVC is assisting in the recruitment for this exciting opportunity. The successful candidate will lead the nursing team, ensure the highest standards of patient care, and help shape the operations of a state-of-the-art, technology-driven clinic.
Role Overview:
The Head Nurse will be responsible for managing and mentoring the nursing team, overseeing daily clinic operations, and maintaining the highest standards of care for patients. This role is ideal for an experienced RVN with proven leadership skills or someone ready to step into a Head Nurse position.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Nurse in a veterinary setting, or extensive RVN experience with strong leadership potential.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary nursing practices and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in using bespoke veterinary technology.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the nursing team to ensure effective patient care.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with best practices and protocols.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment and technology.
- Monitor and manage inventory of medical supplies and medications.
- Promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Participate in continuing education to stay up-to-date with veterinary advancements.
