We are working with a busy, well-equipped 24-hour veterinary hospital in South West London, looking for an experienced Night RVN to join their dedicated overnight team on a permanent basis. If you have a background in ECC and thrive in a calm, focused night environment — this one is worth your attention.
The Rota
This role runs on a genuinely unique rotation:
- 3 nights on / 7 nights off
- 4 nights on / 7 nights off
- Averaging 30.33 hours per week
- Shift times: 7:00pm — 8:00am
The Role
Working alongside an experienced on-site vet surgeon throughout every shift, you will be the heartbeat of overnight patient care. The clinical management team is also available for support during the day should you need it.
Night to night, your responsibilities will include:
- Triaging incoming cases and reacting promptly and appropriately
- Assisting vets in theatre, during inpatient examinations and consultations
- Maintaining thorough and accurate hospitalisation records
- Ensuring the highest standards of patient comfort and welfare
- Utilising Schedule 3 skills as directed
- Handling client telephone calls and advising on pet welfare
- Admitting clients to reception with efficiency and empathy
- Updating owners on the progress of their hospitalised pets

This is a well-rounded, RCVS Accredited Hospital carrying its own loyal first opinion client base alongside internal referral cases. The specialist team includes an orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeon, cardiologist and physiotherapist — meaning genuinely varied and interesting overnight caseload.
The Package
- £28,813.50 — £34,121.25 pro rata (£38,000 — £45,000 FTE based on 40 hours)
- 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays, pro rata
- CPD budget every year plus up to 2 days paid CPD leave
