We are seeking a Lead Theatre Supervisor (RVN) to join a large specialist hospital in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of theatre operations, support a highly skilled nursing team, and work alongside recognised veterinary specialists across multiple disciplines.

The Role
Hours: 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am – 5:00pm
- No weekends
- No out-of-hours
As Lead Theatre Supervisor, you will oversee the daily running of the theatre department, ensuring efficient workflow, excellent patient care, and effective team coordination. This is a hands-on role where you'll balance clinical nursing duties with leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day organisation of the theatre department
- Coordinate surgical caseloads and patient flow
- Allocate staffing resources and manage shift planning
- Support and mentor nursing team members
- Maintain exceptional clinical and hygiene standards
- Work closely with wards, diagnostics, reception, and bookings teams
- Resolve operational and clinical challenges efficiently
- Ensure equipment, facilities, and theatre areas are maintained to a high standard
About You
We're looking for a confident and proactive RVN who thrives in a fast-paced referral environment.
Essential Requirements
- RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
- 2–3 years' experience within a multidisciplinary referral hospital
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- High attention to detail
- Professional, compassionate approach to patient care
- Right to work in the UK
