This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced RVN who thrives in a fast-paced referral environment across multiple specialisms (including surgery, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia, and more).
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Leading the day-to-day organisation of the theatre department, including case scheduling and team coordination.
- Planning and allocating staffing resources effectively across shifts, adapting seamlessly to changes in workload.
- Maintaining and driving exceptionally high standards of patient care and hygiene in line with professional expectations.
- Acting as a visible, supportive leader within the theatre team, providing continuous guidance and clinical support.
- Proactively managing and resolving operational, staffing, and clinical challenges during shifts.
- Coordinating patient flow through effective communication with Wards, Diagnostics, Reception, and Bookings.
- Overseeing theatre downtime effectively, ensuring cleaning, maintenance, and organizational tasks are fully completed.
