About the Role
An established and supportive veterinary practice in Surrey is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and proactive nurse who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care and providing exceptional service to clients.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the clinical delivery of nurse-led appointments, patient care, surgical support, and practice operations, helping to maintain the highest standards of veterinary nursing and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care through nurse-led consultations and Schedule 3 procedures.
- Support veterinary surgeons during consultations, diagnostic procedures, and surgeries.
- Monitor and care for patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Manage patient admissions and discharges.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with professional and practice standards.
- Provide excellent client communication and support.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a positive and efficient practice environment.
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of clinical governance, patient welfare, and operational excellence.
Working Pattern
- 4-day working week.
- 1 in 5 weekend shifts.
- Participation in some bank holiday and on-call duties.
- Candidate Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with current RCVS registration.
- Strong commitment to patient welfare and client care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Organised, proactive, and committed to maintaining high clinical standards.
