My client near Coventry is seeking a fully qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team.

The position involves working Monday to Friday, with 1 in 3 Saturdays. The standard working week is four 10-hour shifts.

This role will mean you must be confident in delivering high-standard nursing care, assisting veterinary surgeons, liaising with clients regarding inpatient care, and conducting nurse clinics. The position reports to the Clinical Director.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse you will: 
•Maintain a high standard of inpatient care and assist with surgical procedures.
•Support and guide Student Veterinary Nurses, ensuring adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
•Communicate professionally with clients, maintaining a positive relationship with all team members.
•Comply with RCVS Nursing Code of Conduct and meet CPD requirements.
•Ensure cleanliness throughout the practice and fulfil rota obligations, including sick cover and bank holidays.

Your daily duties will include admitting and discharging patients for routine operations, staying updated on preventative healthcare, product knowledge, and practice policies, and running nurse clinics. You will also ensure the correct disposal of clinical waste and maintain effective stock control and rotation.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate client and patient medical records, and competently performing tasks such as monitoring anaesthetics, venepuncture, urine collection, and radiography. Additionally, you will dispense repeat prescriptions, assist with reception duties as needed, train and support Student Veterinary Nurses, and carry out Schedule 3 procedures if suitably trained. Ensuring thorough cleaning and maintenance of equipment, participating in stock orders and biannual stock takes, and keeping all areas adequately stocked are also part of your role.


The practice are offering a salary of up to £35,000 DOE, as well as many other fantastic benefits.
