This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RVN who loves delivering exceptional patient care, supporting colleagues and keeping a busy clinic running like clockwork all within a beautifully designed, modern environment where both people and pets come first.
With a clear team structure, supportive leadership and a forward-thinking approach to veterinary care, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior clinical role without moving away from the hands-on nursing you love.
🩺 The Role
As Lead Clinical Nurse, you’ll be a key part of the day-to-day running of the clinic, setting high clinical standards and helping the nursing team deliver an outstanding experience for every patient and client.
You’ll work closely with the Clinical Director, veterinary surgeons and wider nursing team, coordinating daily nursing activity, supporting clinical development and ensuring the clinic runs smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading by example and maintaining excellent standards of clinical nursing care.
- Coordinating the daily nursing workload across consultations, theatre, wards and kennels.
- Organising nurse consultations and supporting the smooth flow of the clinical day.
- Running team huddles and ensuring everyone is up to date with protocols and patient care plans.
- Taking ownership of stock control, ordering, medicines management and clinical supplies.
- Supporting the induction, training and development of colleagues and student nurses, where applicable.
- Promoting a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture.
- Maintaining clinical records, equipment standards and compliance with RCVS requirements.
- Working collaboratively with the Practice Director to identify improvements and resolve day-to-day challenges.
🐾 What’s on Offer?
- Salary from £37,000, depending on experience.
- 4-day working week for a better work-life balance.
- A share of weekend duties.
- A luxury, beautifully designed independent clinic.
- A clear team structure with a Clinical Director, veterinary surgeons and nursing team.
- £750 annual CPD allowance plus 3 days of CPD leave.
- Your birthday off after one year of service.
- Pension scheme with 5% employee and 3% employer contributions.
- Healthcare incentive after one year of employment, subject to eligibility.
- Free snacks and lunch in the clinic.
- Employee Assistance Programme and access to Mental Health First Aiders.
- Monthly peer recognition schemes, team socials and clinic celebrations.
- Opportunities for genuine career progression as the business continues to grow.
- Potential eligibility for a share options scheme following successful completion of probation, subject to the scheme rules.
This is a veterinary business doing things differently. Combining thoughtfully designed clinics with modern technology and first-class clinical care, the focus is on making veterinary visits a more seamless, personal and positive experience for pets, owners and the people who care for them.
The philosophy is simple: healthier, happier pets and vets.
You’ll be joining a team that values sensible workloads, clinical excellence, continuous development and an environment where colleagues feel supported to do their best work.
