The Role
Here at Rosewood Vets, we are looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. You will be working with a fantastic team in all aspects of veterinary nursing including theatre, anaesthesia, radiography, patient care, nurse clinics, and promoting our Pet health club. There will be minimal reception work included.
We believe our nurses should be nurses, utilising their experience, skills and knowledge. You will be actively encouraged to bring new ideas to the practice and develop your skills. We are a large company, so there are potential internal progression opportunities.
The role is a permanent, full-time position based on a 4-day week with a regular day off and share of the weekend rota. No OOH’s.

Rosewood vets is a purpose-built practice and provides a spacious, light and airy perfect working environment. We have large bright consultation rooms, theatre, prep room, x-ray room and separate cattery and kennels, digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope and in-house lab. ISFM cat friendly clinic.

There is the opportunity for developing and growing your skills in any area that is of special interest to you. We actively encourage certificates, offering funding and support to our team members. Many of our vets and nurses hold or are engaged in postgraduate qualifications. You will have the support and knowledge from experienced colleagues within our group in such fields as Exotics, Feline Care, Emergency and critical care, behaviour, Orthopaedic surgery, Imagery, Ophthalmology and a visiting cardiologist.
We have a lovely, friendly team of 3 Vets, 6 Nurses and 2 receptionists. Our staffs Wellbeing is of great importance to us, we have a very approachable, supportive management team who are always available to offer support to our staff at work or in their personal life. We endeavour to ensure that the practices have some down time, whether it be closing the doors for a couple of hours for coffee and cake, a meal out or bowling. We work very closely with local charities and the community, sponsoring the towns junior football team, visiting local schools to talk about working in a Vet practice and we often host fund raising events from dog shows and fetes at the Brockswood Animal Sanctuary to coffee mornings in practice.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a compassionate, confident, enthusiastic, naturally caring disposition, forward thinking, good team player and proactive nurse. The candidate must be able to work on their own initiative with a genuine heart for animal welfare and have excellent all-round nursing and communication skills with the want to further develop to their full potential. It is important that the candidate is passionate about providing gold standard patient and client care.
We ask our RVN’s to help with training student nurses so a clinical coach or willing to train would be preferred. This role would be suitable for someone wishing to advance their career who is either studying towards an advanced certificate or would like to do so and increase their skillset.
