We are looking for an experienced RVN to join our friendly team at Anderson Abercromby Orthopaedic Referrals, based in our fantastic purpose-built facility near Horsham.
This position is available as a permanent role, but we are equally happy to consider applications from those interested in an 8‑month fixed term contract (maternity cover) or shorter contracts of 3–6 months. We’d love to chat about which option suits you best!
Previous referral experience is not required to be considered for this position — all we ask is that you’re a confident RVN with good all‑round nursing skills. Full support and a full induction period will be given to ensure you feel settled within the team and your new working environment.
The Role:
- Salary £32,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
- Full time (part time will be considered with a fair share of late shifts)
- Shifts range from 7:15am - 7:00pm (8-hour day).
- 1 in 6 weekends on call
- No OOH’s

Anderson Abercromby Veterinary Referrals is a busy, dedicated, small animal orthopaedic referral practice. We are RCVS PSS accredited and provide high levels of surgical and inpatient care.
Six years ago, the practice re-located to a newly refurbished building with excellent facilities (2 operating theatres and on-site CT) in a beautiful rural setting. We are very well equipped to deal with the full range of orthopaedic procedures (THR, TPLO, CUE, arthroscopy etc).
The Veterinary Team comprises of RCVS Specialist/ECVS Diplomate in Small Animal Surgery, and RCVS Advanced Practitioner.
The Nursing team comprises of twelve RVNs and two VNAs led by an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager.
